Laurent Boukobza is Professor of Piano and Chair of the Piano Studies at the University of Central Florida in Orlando, FL. Mr. Boukobza was the recipient of the First Prize of Piano and Chamber Music from the Conservatoire National Superieur de Musique de Paris. He has studied piano with Catherine Collard, Germaine Mounier, Yvonne Loriod and Michel Beroff. Mr. Boukobza has studied Chamber Music with Jean-Claude Pennetier, Christian Ivaldi and the "Amadeus Quartet". He presents annual Master-Classes in France at "Academie des Ecrins" and "Pont Saint-Esprit".
Mr. Boukobza is the holder of prizes from multiple international competitions:
- First prize of International Piano Competition "Radio France" (Paris, France)
- First prize of International Academy Maurice Ravel, Saint-Jean-de-Luz (France)
- First prize of "forum musical du Havre" (France)
- Semi-Finalist of the Queen Elisabeth International Piano Competition (Brussels, Belgium)
- Prize winner of International Piano Competition (Senigallia, Italy): best interpretation of Chopin piece, best interpretation of French piece
- Prize winner of International Piano competition (Sofia, Bulgaria): best interpretation of Chopin piece, best interpretation of Bulgarian piece
- Prize winner of Fifth International Piano Competition (Rome, Italy)
- Prize winner of International Piano Competition Georges Enesco (Bucharest, Romania)
Mr. Boukobza is regularly invited by prestigious festivals: Vichy, Fontevrault, Conques, Evian, Les Arcs, Les Ecrins (France), Salzburg (Austria).
Mr. Boukobza has also performed in Belgium, Bulgaria, China, England, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, Korea, Romania, Singapore, Taiwan, Poland (Warsaw radio recordings) and USA (WCLV radio, Cleveland San Jose Ballet, Cleveland Museum of Art, WMFE radio).
